YoungShip Oslo is the largest YoungShip branch with 400 active, paying members. Oslo has a wide range of shipping related businesses and our members are fairly equally distributed between engineers, economists and lawyers.
YoungShip Oslo does a mix of professional and social events throughout the year and normally have an attendance of 50-100 persons per event. Our main events comprise YES - YoungShip Environmental Seminar, Young@NorShipping and our very popular Summer party and Christmas dinner. These events are organised together with representatives from the industry. In addition, YoungShip Oslo hosts a number of professional and informal events each year where networking and socialising is the focus. These events are called Ankerdrams and often include presentations on trending topics. Our Ankerdrams also include quiz evenings and scavenger hunts. In addition, we often get invitations to seminars and presentations organised by other organisations and companies in the industry which we pass on to our members.
Our yearly membership fee is currently NOK 500.
