Youngship Møre

Established in 2007, YoungShip Møre (YSM) is a professional network for young people in maritime-related businesses, including ship design, shipyards, equipment suppliers, finance, brokerage, operations, logistics, and shipowners.

Membership registration is open to individuals between the ages of 20 and 37, with an annual fee of 400kr. YSM aims to provide its members with opportunities for both competence and network development. This is achieved through a range of events, including knowledge and personal development seminars, company visits, social gatherings, and other activities.

As a non-profit organization, YSM relies on support from local businesses to maintain its high level of activity. The association is grateful for the partnership of several prominent companies, including Sparebanken Møre, GCE Blue Maritime Cluster, and Seaonics in 2022. The support of these enterprises underscores YSM's vital role in the Møre maritime cluster and highlights the organization's commitment to fostering the next generation of young professionals in the industry.

The membership criteria for registering as a member of YoungShip Møre is that you are between 20 and 37 years old when you sign up, that you work in the maritime industry in the Møre area and that you pay the yearly membership fee. It is possible to become a member as a student if you feel that you have some relevant experience in the maritime industry and are within the age criteria. 

To become a member, click the orange "Join YoungShip Møre" button close to the top of the website and fill out the form. You should get an email confirming your membership with instructions on how to pay the membership fee. Once the membership fee is paid, you should receive an email confirmation and you will be able to sign up for members only events.
