Welcome to the General Members Assembly for YoungShip Helsinki the 21st of March 2023. The meeting will be held at the office of MEPA and on Teams. The event will start at 17:30 with the General Members Assembly, and then continue with mingle, some light food serving and sauna.

OSM Ship Management Finland is responsible for the crewing and maintenance of vessels previously under the management of Neste Shipping. Today OSM Ship Management Finland has a fleet of ten units, with two Aframaxes, four product/chemical carriers, three tugs and one barge.
OSM is all about the people, and its vision is to be a long-term partner for their customers, a home for its employees, and an asset in Society.
Sampo Rajala, will give a presentation on the ongoing topics in ship management, especially focusing in safety and security in Baltic Sea region and Russia Ukraine war impact on global ship management.
More on MEPA (The finnish seamans service)
The Finnish Seamen's Service was founded in 1973. Their function is based on MLC 2006, ILO Convention No. 163 and Act 447/2007 of seafarer´s welfare in Finland. FSS offers recreation services to all foreign seafarers visiting Finnish ports. FSS provides library, film, wellbeing and information services within the Finnish merchant fleet and to foreign flag vessels with a special service agreement. FSS is controlled by the Ministry of Employment and the Economy. The trade unions and the ship owners have delegates in the representative body and the board of the Finnish Seamen´s Service. FSS works in close cooperation with the Finnish Seamen´s Mission and the Danish, Norwegian and Swedish Welfare Organizations. The Finnish Seamen’s Service is a member of the International Committee on Seafarers Welfare.
Their function is financed by seafarers, ship owners and the government.
