YoungShip Bergen is a competence and network-building non-profit organisation for young professional maritime employees in the Bergen area of Norway. We are more than 250 members from over 70 different companies within the maritime industry. We are proud to be a part of shaping the future of maritime Norway!
YoungShip Bergen - is where it all started!
YoungShip was founded in Bergen in 2004. The Bergen branch is highly active and have for over a decade been fortunate enough to host several social and educational events and seminars. Our aim is to provide a platform for sharing knowledge and gaining competence, build a social and professional networking platform for our members, and promote young professionals within the global maritime industry.
We have a particular focus on developing the young generations’ knowledge and interest for the local maritime cluster, including the important developments within the wider international shipping community. We welcome anyone under the age of 35 working in relevant companies or organizations to join us.
Our activities are primarily financed through a yearly membership fee, general support from collaborating businesses and organisations and sponsorship from businesses participating in each event. This would however not have been feasible without the continued support from our sponsors: Bergens Rederiforening, Wikborg Rein Advokatfirma AS, Hansa Tankers AS, Grieg Group Resources AS, Wilson AS, Norwegian Hull Club and Westfal-Larsen Management AS.
We host our popular 'Ankerdram' every month, collaborate with local industry players and organizations on bigger educational events, in addition to a number of social and informal gatherings throughout the year. Sign up and join us for our next event!

At the Annual General Meeting 2023, YoungShip Bergen reviewed the year that was, planned the year to come and introduced new board members.
After a quick course in the processes in a courtroom and dispute resolution from lawyers from Wikborg Rein, our members took the roles as lawyers, witnesses and judges.
