8 - 9th September 2022

ShipCon 2022 - the place to be for every young maritime professional!

YoungShip Bergen is excited to host the annual ShipCon Conference 8th - 9th September 2022

We look forward to gathering young maritime professionals from across YoungShip International's departments to attend a two-day conference in Bergen.

As this year's hosts, we aim to provide our delegates with a platform for networking, gain further knowledge and insight from industry leaders and meet fellow YoungShippers from all over the world in Bergen, which in our humble opinion, is the Shipping capital of Norway.

We will take a closer look at the shipping cluster in Bergen and beyond our regional borders, the international perspectives and trends that influence the global maritime industry, and are very excited to keep you informed about the program and speakers we have lined up for you.

All information related to ShipCon and registration will be available on this site.

Please note the conference is in English. If you have questions or need further information, feel free to write to us at

The conference is open to everyone, not limited to YoungShip members.

We look forward to seeing you all in Bergen in September!

Young Corporation Award

The Young Corporation Award was setup in 2012 to promote the best employers, in order to acknowledge the effort taken and, at the same time, encourage other companies to strengthen their focus on talent and development of young individuals.

The Young Corporation Award is handed out every year at ShipCon.

The shortlist Criteria

The jury is represented by the board of YoungShip International, and together they assess the worthy candidates based on 5 main criteria:

  • Promoting young leaders internationally
  • Driving forward young talent
  • Devoting time & money on building the competence of young people in the organisation
  • Having clear defined trainee programs and/or other competence enhancing programs
  • Supporting initiatives within the maritime community

Nominations for this year's Young Corporation Award are open, and we encourage you to send us nominations by clicking here
