Becoming a captain of industry in the maritime industry is tough and the road to get there is often long and challenging. Along the way one’s character gets tested for, intellect, discipline, perseverance and dedication. However there are more factors influencing a “captain of the industry”. Namely, the core-business of an organisation plays a vital role and asks for a specific skillset. These distinctive and valuable personality traits have to be nurtured and developed throughout the years in order to overcome various hurdles.

YoungShip Rotterdam invites all members and other maritime enthusiasts to participate. Admission is free of charge. During the seminar, themed: ‘Captains of industry and how to become one’, distinctive captains of industry will share a rare insight in their day-to-day (business) lives. Moreover, they will elaborate on the question if their job truly is as glamorous as everyone thinks. But also questions such as: How to become successful, which characteristics are reserved for the best of the best  and which experiences are needed?

YoungShip Rotterdam has contacted industry-leaders to give an inspiring presentation to the next generation of maritime professionals. The seminar will be concluded with networking drinks. This provides a unique possibility for networking with high-level representatives of prestigious companies and institutions.
