Founded recently (2019) in Lisbon. Pioneers in the maritime discoveries, Portugal is the key. Together we share the same passion for shipping and the desire to make the sector a younger sector.

We are YoungShip Portugal. Together we have the ambition to create new synergies between young professionals and companies in the maritime sector.
We will strive to create opportunities for the integration of young professionals in events, conferences and congresses and for a more active voice in the world of shipping.

We believe that these synergies can provide innovative ideas, new working methods and added value for our partner companies.
With all the history we have around the sea and the maritime discoveries, we intend to follow the tradition and will try to be pioneers in national and global projects for young people.

We welcome members (between the age of 20 to 40) from all areas of the industry (from students to established professionals) who share our passion and our belief that young people are the most significant constituent to ensure our industry’s ongoing growth and success.

APIBARRA President, Senior Harbour Pilot, Vice President for Communication at European Maritime Pilots and Lecturer at Escola Náutica Infante Dom Henrique. With a strong capacity to communicate which involves young and senior people in a common cause, huge knowledge of the maritime economy and natural motivation, our godfather will for sure bring success to our newborn project. YoungShip Portugal presents itself to the Portuguese Shipping Agents at the 2019 Maritime Transport Seminar in Oporto.

On March 28th 2019 our co-founders accepted the challenge of AGEPOR and Transportes&Negócios Magazine to join the youngest panel of the 2019 Maritime Transport seminar in Oporto, Portugal. YoungShip took this event as the perfect opportunity to get known amongst potential future members and stakeholders..

Eduardo Rebelo is the first portuguese participating in the SAIL progamme promoted by ONE Portugal

Eduardo Costa Rebelo is the SAIL(or) selected by ONE Portugal to integrate a training program and retention of young talent in the shipping area. He is the first Portuguese to belong to this project and it was a great pleasure to meet him. Although this experience is still starting, we know that it is a unique opportunity, both personally and professionally for Eduardo. Good luck!
