Helsinki has a wide range of shipping related businesses. There are already well established associations within the maritime cluster, such as the Finnish Maritime Society, WISTA Finland and the Finnish Maritime Cluster but until this spring, no YoungShip branch. With the support and encouragement from Tiina Tuurnala from the Finnish Shipowners Association, a working group started to prepare the paperwork for establishing the association in Finland. Together with Richard Hayfield, Secretary General at YoungShip International, the new branch is now launched.
We are launching YS Helsinki at the Maritime Days on the 24th of May in Mariehamn, Åland.
