Åland Maritime Days 2019

Mercy Ship Race, breakfast seminar at Sea Lines and well organised conference. Many thanks Åland!

YoungShip Helsinki has turned one year and we are constantly growing. The Åland Maritime Days is a perfect opportunity for YoungShip members across Finland to meet.

The event started with the Mercy Ship Race on Wednesday 8 May, where the participants could choose between running or walking 5 or 10 km. This was the first time the Mercy Ship Race was organised and about 300 people participate and about 14.000 EUR was collected to the charity Mercy Ship. Great job everyone!

On Thursday morning on the 9 May, all YoungShip Members were invited to Sea Lines's office in Mariehamn. The breakfast was a success and 1/3 of our members were present! A big thanks to Joakim, Staffan and Sea Lines for hosting, and giving us a very informative introduction on shipping in the Black Sea!

The organizers of Åland Maritime Days did a fantastic job setting up the seminars and stands at Alandica, enabling really good networking possibilities. Did you miss any of the seminars, don't worry, the presentations can be found here
